21st September 2018 - Clumber Spaniels: Mathos (Maursett Mathos) wins Clumber Spaniel Puppy Dog, Reserve CC and Best Puppy in Breed at Driffield Championship Show, judged by Sue Brookshaw. 

His litter sister, Royston Walkling's Maursett Mycate at Kiswahili  also won the Reserve CC in bitches.

16th September 2018 - Clumber Spaniels:  more success for Mathos (Maursett Mathos) who wins Clumber Puppy Dog and then Best of Breed Clumber Spaniel at Darlington Championship Show, judged by Mr Bill Orzel.  Mathos just keeps on winning.

9th September 2018 - Clumber Spaniels:  Hilda Monaghan (Tweedsmuir) judged Clumbers at Richmond Championship Show and Mathos (Maursett Mathos) wins the puppy dog class and another Reserve CC. Another lovely day out for this very special boy.  Great to see his litter sister, Maursett Mycate at Kiswali, also taking the Reserve CC in bitches for owner Royston Walkling.

2nd September 2018 - Clumber Spaniels:  City of Birmingham Championship Show sees Mathos (Maursett Mathos) win the puppy dog class, followed by another Reserve CC whilst still in puppy, judged by Patsy Hollings. He then went on to win the Any Variety Puppy Dog Stakes class judged by Lee Cox at the same show.  To make a very good day almost perfect, he followed this by winning the Owner/Breeder/Handler Gundog or Utility Puppy Dog or Bitch class, judged by Mr A Wight.

11th August 2018 - Clumber Spaniels:  Bournemouth Championship Show saw Mathos (Maursett Mathos) win the Dog CC, Best of Breed and, of course, Best Puppy, judged by breed specialist Lee Cox.  What a fantastic day for the Maursett mob made complete when Richard Bott awarded him Puppy Group 3. It was worth the wait (even as the heavens opened) to see him perform so well. Mathos is on a real roll and is proving to be very special for us.

5th August 2018 - Clumber Spaniels:  Mathos (Maursett Mathos) does it again, winning another Reserve CC out of puppy, at National Gundog Championship Show, judged by Sara Kirkman.

28th July 2018 - Clumber Spaniels:  the results just keep rolling in for Mathos (Maursett Mathos) as he is awarded the Reserve Dog CC by Alastair Kirkman at Leeds Championship Show. 

Not to be outdone, his litter sister, Cate (Maursett MyCate at Kiswahili) won the puppy bitch class for owner Royston Walkling, with Lyndsey and Gerry Steele's Maursett Marilla at Stonielea in second place. Cate was then awarded the Bitch CC and Best Puppy, then going off to the Puppy Group and we were over the moon to see her placed Puppy Group 3 by judge Keith Nathan.  What a super day and  we are so proud of this litter and many congratulations to Royston. 

22nd July 2018 - Clumber Spaniels:  a great trip out for a number of the Maursett Mob as James Taylor (no relation) judges classes sponsored by the Breed Club at Tonge & District Canine Society. Mathos (Maursett Mathos) won the Puppy class in the breed.  He then went on to beat his mother Beatrice, Cape Lewisporte Make A Wish For Maursett (Imp Bel) and the Open class winner, also one of our own - this time Maeve (Sh Ch Mischievous Maeve With Maursett) - to win Best of Breed. 

Another Clumber breed specialist - Linda Thorogood - was judging the group and Best in Show and awarded Mathos Group 1 in the Gundog Puppy Group.  She then went on to give him the Reserve Best Puppy in Show place.  Wow - really great that two breed specialists think so highly of Mathos who just keeps on winning.  English Setters: to complete a fabulous trip over the Pennines, Fathom (Mariglen Fathom For Maursett), was Best of Breed English Setter (again, judged by Linda Thorogood).

At the same time, Cate (Maursett MyCate at Kiswahili), who is Mathos' litter sister, was strutting her stuff for owner Royston Walkling over at York Canine Society - she went Gundog Group 4 and Gundog Puppy Group 1.  Mathos and Cate are certainly on a roll and we are so proud of this litter.

Cate also had a super day out earlier in the week at the Frecheville - Sheffield & District Canine Society midweek open show under Lesley Trow, who awarded Cate Best AVNSC Puppy and Gundog Puppy Group 1.

27th May 2018 - Clumber Spaniels:  Mathos (Maursett Mathos) continues to impress as he wins Best Puppy in Show at the North Riding Gundog Club Open Show judged by David Alcorn.  Mathos has certainly had a great start to his show career.  Not to be outdone, his sister Cate (Maursett Mycate at Kiswahili), owned by Caroline and Royston Walkling, went Best Puppy in Show at Shropshire Gundog Open Show judged by Chris Hastings.  What a litter!

12th May 2018 - Clumber Spaniels:  Mathos (Maursett Mathos) wins minor puppy and puppy dog under judge Chris Bexon at the National Championship show at Birmingham.  This qualifies Mathos for Crufts at his very first Championship Show.

29th April 2018 - Clumber Spaniels: we are not at the show today as we are on puppy duty, but delighted to see Maursett Mycate at Kiswahili, owned by Caroline and Royston Walkling, winning Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Breed at WELKS Championship Show (judge Valda Day). Always a delight to see dogs we have bred doing the business for other people. Cate. as she is known, is by Clumbraise Baby He's Your Man JW (Imp Nor) out of Cape Lewisporte Make a Wish for Maursett (Imp Bel). This litter has certainly made its mark in the show ring right from the start.

1st April 2018 - Clumber Spaniels: Mathos (Maursett Mathos) wins the minor puppy dog class and then goes on to take Best Puppy in Show at the Clumber Spaniel Club Open Show judged by Mrs Jane Graham.  A cracking good start to his show career.

30th March 2018 - Clumber Spaniels: Mathos (Maursett Mathos) wins on his very first show outing, taking first place in Clumber Spaniel Puppy at the Edwinstowe & District Canine Society Open Show (judge: Mrs Christine Morgan). A great start for Mathos, who reached the grand old age of six months today.

3rd February 2018 - Clumber Spaniels: Maeve (Sh Ch Mischievous Maeve With Maursett) wins the Open Clumber Spaniel class at the Darlington & District  open show (Judge: Mrs Pam Cox).  We withdrew from the group as we are friends with the Group judge and did not think it appropriate.

21st January 2018 - Clumber Spaniels: Manchester Championship Show sees Maeve (Sh Ch Mischievous Maeve With Maursett) wins the Open bitch class and then adds another Reserve CC to her tally (judge: Mr Jane Howarth).
