Merlin was heriditary clear of PDP1 as both of his parents had been tested and certified as clear. 

Merlin lived with Gerry and Lyndsey Steel, with whom he caused havoc!  Gerry and Lyndsey were clearly suckers for punishment as they were also owners of Maursett Morna at Stonielea,  with whom they also enjoyed considerable success in the show ring.  Merlin qualified for Crufts at his first attempt.
