Gertie started her show career at the tender age of six months, winning the Minor Puppy bitch class at the Clumber Spaniel Club's Championship Show, judged by Swedish judge Karin Brostam Berglands.  Gertie then won Best Puppy in Breed at the next two champion shows in October 2022 - the South Wales Kennel Club's Championship Show, judged by Chris Bexon and then at the Gundog Society of Wales Championship Show, where the breed was judged by Jane Howarth.  Gertie won the Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Breed award at Crufts in 2023 - quite a start to Gertie's show career!  She followed this a year later progressing up to the Reserve Bitch CC at Crufts under breed specialist Ian Layfield.
