We had our first English Setters in the early
1980s when we showed using the Dundabheann affix, as well as
Maursett. We finally took the plunge to return to English
Setters and Fathom (Mariglen
Fathom for Maursett) became
an instant hit with the Maursett Mob, before producing her first
litter in 2017.
After all those years
- and yes, it did seem like a lifetime - it was good to be back!
We were lucky enough
to have a separate interest in the Dundabheann affix with Lyn
Briggs (of the Lynsett affix) for our English Setters.
Zara (Dundabheann Idle
Gossip from Maursett) who was bred by Lyn, turned out to be a glamorous, but very affectionate
English Setter.

Dundabheann
Moresby JW
Zara's first litter
produced Dundabheann Moresby JW, who was shown by Lyn Briggs.
Like his mother, Moresby
was terrific in the ring, gaining his Junior Warrant.
One of our early English Setters,
Morning Glory from Maursett - (Ossie, as we called him) - about to
participate
in the Junior Handling classes at Leeds Championship Show
sometime in the early 1980s.
