The
people at Maursett recommend that you practice safe shopping
1) Ignore
'spoofed' e-mails and fraudulent websites asking you to divulge
payment details. This is known as Phishing. Please report these
e-mails to the Anti-Phishing Working Group www.antiphishing.org
Always use the official website for your bank or building
society when banking online. Type in the website address
manually or add the correct website address to your favourites.
2) Practice safe shopping online by making sure you are on a
secure web site when entering your credit or debit card details.
To check, look out for the security padlock
icon at the bottom of your browser window or that the web page
has https:// instead of just http:// in the address bar. |
